What you need to know (before you say yes)

  • I work with micro wefts and nano tips - two of the most natural, seamless methods out there. Micro wefts are amazing for adding lots of length and volume quickly, while nano tips are super discreet and perfect for finer hair. Together, they mean extensions that look and feel like your hair.

  • Extensions aren’t just for “long hair only” girlies. They’re for anyone who wants fuller, thicker, shinier hair - whether that’s a little boost in volume, extra length, or both. With the right technique, extensions can work on any hair type.

  • Every head of hair is different, which means pricing depends on how much hair we use and how customised your extensions need to be. That’s why we start with a consultation - we’ll talk through your goals, colour-match perfectly, and make sure you know exactly what’s involved before you say yes.

Yes, I want great hair!

FAQs

Will extensions damage my hair?

No, not with proper aftercare and maintenance. We’ll go through everything in detail at your consultation so you know exactly how to look after them. I will never put the health of your natural hair at risk, and if for any reason extensions aren’t the right fit for you, I’ll be upfront about it! The methods I use are gentler than many others - no glue, no heat, no harsh chemicals.

How long do extensions last?

You’ll need to come in every 4–6 weeks for maintenance so I can move the wefts back up, but the extension hair itself can last a year or more if you take care of it. At your first appointment I’ll give you all the tips for keeping them looking their best, from the right products to how to tie your hair at night.

How often will I need maintenance?

Every 4–6 weeks in the salon. This keeps your extensions sitting neatly, protects your natural hair, and ensures they always look seamless.

How much do extensions cost?

Pricing varies because every head of hair is different. Someone with thicker natural hair will need more extension hair than someone with fine hair, and placement changes depending on how you wear your hair. Sometimes micro wefts alone are enough, and other times a mix of methods is best for seamless sides. That’s why consultations are so important - I’ll assess your hair, recommend the right method, and give you a clear, customised price before you commit.

Can I wash and style my hair like normal with extensions?

Yes! Washing will feel a little different the first time - the extensions add some weight, and you’ll need to be gentler with your scalp (no scrubbing). Using extension-safe products (which I stock) will make all the difference. Because the hair is 100% human, you can blow dry, straighten, curl, and style it just as you would your own.

Can I colour my hair with extensions?

Extensions can be toned or coloured darker, but not lightened. At your consultation, I’ll ensure your extensions are colour-matched perfectly so they blend seamlessly with your natural hair.

Are extensions uncomfortable or heavy?

No. They’ll feel different if it’s your first time, but both micro wefts and nano tips are lightweight and comfortable compared to other methods. Most clients forget they’re even in after the first few days!

What’s the difference between micro wefts and nano tips?

Micro wefts: Strips of extension hair that are secured to your natural hair using tiny, silicone-lined beads. They’re great for adding lots of length and volume quickly, and they sit flat and comfortable against your head.

Nano tips: Individual strands of extension hair tipped with a tiny bead. Each strand is attached to your natural hair using an almost invisible nano bead. They’re perfect for precision placement, especially around the sides or for fine hair, and give a seamless, natural finish.
